Jesus put the Golden Rule right at the culminating point of a passage about deliberate , persistent, hopeful prayer. So here is my takeaway: Jesus wants. us to approach prayer for others with the same intensity and hopeful expectation as we would want them approaching prayer for us.
The Pray for Me Campaign is about hope, specifically the hope that teenagers can find in the greatness of God. Let these scriptures and corresponding thoughts be a jumping off point to pray for the teens in your life.
Praying the Scriptures for your Teenager: Purity
God alone is the one who can protect us from sin and temptation. Pray that God would keep your teen from stumbling in their walk with him.
Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen. (Jude 1:24-25)
Praying the Scriptures for your Teenager: Wisdom
So many people have access to teenagers nowadays. They hear all sorts of messages from social media, television, and their peers. Pray that the voice they listen to would be God’s alone.
Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the Lord. (Jeremiah 9:23-24)

So many teens are walking away from the Lord. Pray your teen would have faith to stay on the narrow path of salvation.
Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. (1 Timothy 6:12)
Praying the Scriptures for your Teenager: Love
“Cancel Culture” is a very real thing among teens now. Pray your teen would love others the way Jesus loves. Pray their hearts would be softened toward the people around them.
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. (John 13:34-35)
Praying the Scriptures for your Teenager: Speech
Pray for kind words that glorify God would come to your teen’s heart and mind. There is so much hate and anger in the world so pray they would be a light.
Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. (Ephesians 4:29)
Praying the Scriptures for your Teenager: Kindness
May the teen you’re praying for honor God by loving the least of these. Pray they would over flow with kindness to everyone they meet.
He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? (Micah 6:8)
Praying the Scriptures for your Teenager: Favor
Everyone has hard days, and in their everyday lives teenagers are feeling disconnected from their communities and God. Pray that every morning your teen will wake up and know they are loved unconditionally by God.
Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. (Psalm 90:14)
Praying the Scriptures for your Teenager: Joy
How comforting it is to know that nothing can stop God! Pray your teen would carry the joy of that knowledge with them wherever they go
I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted. (Job 42:2)
Praying the Scriptures for your Teenager: Conduct
It is not hard to stand out as a Christian in society. Pray that your teen would be given the courage to live differently than the crowd and follow God with every step.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10)
Praying the Scriptures for your Teenager: Self-control
The message teens hear all the time is that they should do what makes them happy. This is the opposite of how Christians are commanded to live, serving God even when it is challenging. Pray that God would give your teen the self-control to stay out of sin and close to him.
How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word. With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from your commandments! I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. (Psalms 119:9-11)

Christians can sleep easy knowing that no matter what happens, their eternity is secure in heaven. Jesus died for us while we were still separated by our sin. Pray you teenager would be overwhelmed by the peace of that knowledge today and everyday.

Praying the Scriptures for your Teenager: Patience
Being patient is something most humans struggle with. Young people especially. Pray for patience for your teen for themselves as they grow, others they interact with, and in life as they wait on God’s plan and timing.
And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets. (Matthew 22:37-40)
